In the moutainous forests of Ariège, along the steep slopes, the "cablist spider woodmen" weave their threads.
By hand, with just a winch, pulleys and steel cables, they set up a kind of teleferic to lift the wood out of the forest.
Any careless mistake can be fatal : there is no place for dreaming. They have chosen this way of life.
They need to face a danger, to surpass themselves and they never show their fears or weaknesses. Transcended by pride, they need to measure themselves against the other, against the forest.
