"Is Lisbon the same as Paris ?" Asked the Fundos, an immigrant family living in Paris for 25 years. "Next year we'll go to Lisbon". They said while shooting "Estat é a minha casa", previous documentary from João Pedro Rodrigues. In August 1998, they came to Expo' 98 and João Pedro Rodrigues shot their answer.
If "Esta é a minha casa" was a documentary about the construction of an unterritorial cultural identity, "Viagem à Expo" is the extension of this investigation and the discovery of the relationship between this people and the globalisation of a mediated world.
