Thierry Petit, musician of the National orchestra of Montpellier crossed with his double bass the Mediterranean Basin, aboard his sailboat transformed into mobile studio. From Palma de Majorca to Alexandria, Tunis, Thessalonica or Beirut, is born under our eyes a symphonic poem : fusion of traditional instruments and the moving voices of the multitude of children requested to write and sing the words of this hymn to the brotherhood. From stopover to stopover, the film invites us to think about the role of the culture, as about that of the artist, in these changing societies, confronted with a turning point of their history. A new odyssey, orchestrated by Thierry Petit and Christophe Héral, until his public creation in the Opera of Montpellier.
