Un circuit dans la cité
Stéphane Quinson
1997 - 52 min - 16 mm & Beta - Couleur et Noir & Blanc - France

Since its creation in 1929, the Monaco Grand-Prix is without a doubt one of the most prestigious events in the world. Its celebrity is firstly owed by being part of the illustrious principality of Monaco, but over the years of race past, it is the particularity and personality of the race track itself that makes the Grand-Prix the dream and at the same time the nightmare of all drivers who challenged this circuit.
Five weeks before the Grand-Prix, the start of another race is given : the one on which depends the reliability and the safety of the event ; the one which gives birth to a Formula 1 circuit in the streets of the principality.
The concept of this film rests on alternating the building of the track (accelerated scenes) and its historical evolution.
