With the production of the "Focus" series, Artfilms wants to make a panorama of international Art shown in art museums in France. Each video of the "Focus" series explains the artist's approach in a 6-minute standard. The series is therefore a full complement to exhibited works, thanks to explanatory, previously unreleased interventions by the artists themselves who co-direct the films, also because they make decisions over the way in which their own work is shown. Each video is a sequence shot. The video therefore becomes a means to bring the work to understanding, that is to say, an interface between the work of Art and the viewer. Those coherent, representative and full documents aims to restore the general public's faith in current Art. The target audience of contemporary Art is then extended through displaying it in various art centres in France and abroad, broadcasting it regularly at many televisions all around the world, along with producing and distributing multilingual DVDs. Producing the "Focus" series is an outstanding way for Artfilms to show French contemporary Art in France and abroad.
