I wanted to film a resister : Mário Jorge, a 50 year old Portuguese, living in Paris without telephone, without a car and without television, and working as a graphic artist and model-maker, in the traditional manner and self-employed.
But, at the time the film was shot, Mário Jorge had no work. At the end of the 20th century, exposed to unemployment and new technologies, how can one remain faithful to one’s choices in life ?
Mário Jorge draws games of mah-jong, in his workshop. Together, we make this film... with four hands.
