Documentary about the second World Peace Conference, to be held in Sheffield. The British government however refused to hand out visa to some of the participants for political reasons. The conference then was held in Poland with mostly members from the communist countries, joined by intellectuals with religious or pacifistic ideals.
The crisis in Korea is the central theme of the film and is illustrated by a compilation of footage. Ivens was not satisfied about the co-operation with the co-director and the easy and obvious propagandistic effects.
