Marta and Karina sell sex to ensure a brighter future for themselves. Men enter their room one after another. A sexual encounter doesn’t last more than fifteen minutes. The time they wait until their next client tends to be longer.
The client arrives and the curtain closes, a sheet is hurridly placed over the bed. The clothes are the same. The negotiations and sexual relations are part of their cotidian activities. The mobile phone that recieves their clients’ calls is constantly turned on; the border between “normal” life and prostitution is fragile, but it exists.
The instances –just before and just after their sexual encounters- are a setting of the film.
Between visits from their clients, good and bad, Marta and Karina tell us about- not without a sense of humour nor contradictions- the intimateness of their choices, their relationships with men and prostitution.
Away from the typical stereotypes, they draw insights on life that question our outlook on commercial sex.
