At the age of 19, the Kabyle Nadia Zouaoui was from her village of Tazmalt and married to fellow citizens immigrated to Quebec.
Several years later, she comes back to the country of her youth. Her main objective: break the wall of silence to understand what makes the women’s emancipation so slow in this mountainous region of Algeria. Her journey is enriched with testimonies of men an women of all ages, questioned on their support to extreme secular traditions.
