When he was twelve, Nordine stole some plums in a neighbouring garden that’s why he became a professional boxer.
The owner of the garden, who awaited him under the tree was a boxing coach seeking for young talents. He proposed him a deal : "Either we will go and see your father, either you come tomorrow to my boxing club."
Nordine, son of an Algerian mason who came from the desert to work in the Nancy region, grew up together with his eleven brothers and sisters in a council housing estate in Laxou.
