Madagascar, 7 mois de chaos
Gaël Mocaër
2002 - 52 min - DV Cam - Couleur - France, Madagascar

Between December 2001 and July 2002, Madagascar experienced the worst crisis in its history. For seven months, president candidates Didier Ratsiraka and Mark Ravalomanana clashed for power. The war between the two men destroyed and ruined the island. Madagascar was cut in two: never had the population suffered so from a political quarrel. Arms spoke. The madness and violence did the rest. Th economic, social and hygienic repercussions were catastrophic. A chronicle of seven months of chaos.
