Les Belles Italiennes Série-Collection : Thema : Une voiture nommée désir

Jean-Pierre Gibrat
1999 - 51 min - France

More than a make, Ferrari is a myth. From Schumacher's trial runs on the Mugello circuit near Modena, to "Ferrariland" at Port Beach in California, the guardians of the legend and the admirers take us on a discovery of the famous car- maker.
The library pictures and above all the confidences of Pietro, son of the creator Enzo Ferrari, testify to the cleverness of his father in the management of a burgeoning empire. Without ever leaving his base in Modena, he gave the make international prestige, in particular by understanding very early on the importance of the American market.
The Italian designer Pininfarina describes the influence of the Italian artistic heritage in the drawing up of this "moving sculpture". Even Fellini took part in the spread of Ferrari by integrating it into his films. Then the car-lovers, Italian "tiffosi" or American collectors, recount their passion.
