Blaise Pascal Tanguy
2011 - 52 min - DV Cam - Couleur - Cameroun

All the specialists agree to describe the illegal business of the medicine as the most terrible threat pressing on the public health, in particular that of emerging countries or in weak power of controls. A stiff sloping descent that manage to check neither the repressive measures of the authorities, nor the proliferation of generic medicines nevertheless renowned to every budget. In sights of the WHO, irremovable pharmacists of street taking advantage of the weak  purchasing power of a good fringe of the population to promise the moon to them not to say death and sadness  (zero active unpredictable principle, falsified best before dates, dosages, toxicity). A silent killer whom nothing seems to be able to arrest, for a very good reason: at the world level, this traffic would assure her performers of the 50 billion dollar annual incomes! Bernadette, young Cameroonian, is of those who willy-nilly chose to survive by the parallel trade of the medicine. Through multiple more or less occult networks, she stocks up as many of the others to satisfy an always increasing clientele which is recruited from all the sectors of society, very often in the corner of a street. A report which made a success a skillful infiltration in this real extremely well organized mafia, to reveal unsuspected bottoms: thefts in pharmacies, blow of medical samples, springs and complex origins, but also ramifications and complicities in the highest spheres of the state
And if the real plague of the century was somewhere else?
