The memory of the Auvergne area, second maquis in France. In five "episodes", the film, composed thanks to encounters with 80 witnesses, reconstitutes many of the high moments of the Resistance between 1940 and 1945.
Acts of insubordination in the world of business (Aubert and Duval in Les Ancizes), press (Alexandre Varenne and the Mountain), university (University of Strasbourg in Clermont-Ferrand), but also the testimony of many individual positions that gave all its force to this movement of disobedience to Vichy.
Barcha Bauer, the producer, trained at the Louis Lumière School, camera assistant with François Truffaut, Patrice Chéreau, also made his mark on this project with his own personal experience.
