A visit through the last century utopia land, "Le Petit Bout du monde" takes us along with the industrial but also delicate rhythm of Salin de Giraud, Camargue, chemical production center and living place founded by Ernest Solvay in 1896.
In this portrait of a factory-city, of its inhabitants-employees, where the architectural concept comes with social hierarchy, through memories and gestures, the film recalls the Belgian industrialist's vision and its remains.
