The film leads us to Sindou, a village in south-western Burkina-Faso cut off from everythng by the bush, a place that time has forgotten, protected by sacred mountain since it was first settled 500 years ago.
But the people are waiting the trappings of modernity, including electricity, a hard surface road, television, cell-phone...
Their expectations in this place where ancestral knowledge and traditions are strong gives us a chance to examine the meaning of progress, somewhere midway between unchanging and perturbed time...
