Glory and fame or the pleasure of a feat that is pure and free. Man, since all times, pushes his limits in an effort to dominate his interior and exterior world.
Every August, ex-Soviet Union alpinists organize a competition in the Tien-Shan mountain range of Kirghizistan. It consists of a solo ascension of the Khan-Tengri. It is a white marble mountain with a height of 21,000 ft.
This competition presents a challenge at the limits of human possibilities due to the technical difficulties and the high altitude.
