These are people who never give up. Who, at all costs, will remain mobilised and united to defend their interests, their jobs, their region.
Faced with the apparently implacable logic which, dictated and programmed by the State, has planned a total stop to French coal mining in the year 2005, some miners in Provence, at Gardanne, cannot resign themselves.
We discover the daily life of a trade union struggle : for 6 months, these miners let us follow them, so that we can experience with them the actions, negotiations, pickets...
Often funny, sometimes serious, scene follows scene, offering moments that have become scarce where it is the workers and not the employers who have the last word. Each person has his "speech", his arguments, his accent, his songs, his jokes, his silences or his shouts.
