A priest named Jean de Roodenbeke came from Belgium on a bike half a century ago. He settled in the Oisans Mountains, in the huge parish he just had been assigned by his bishop.
This big strong man of moutain dweller nature is today fondly nicknamed "the cardinal priest of Veneon river". He took an active part in the expansion of the 2 Alpes ski resort, creating youth clubs for young people.
Nowadays, he is one of the great figures of this spot of mountain, greeting and sermonizing people with his stick.
