This film recounts the everyday life of a very special community that Fernand Deligny (now deceased) gathered round him : a community of autistic adults who were judged incurable.
In a peaceful village in the Cévennes, settled in families, these autistic people have learned to tame life, to savour it and to enjoy it. They have a very different relationship with reality from "normal" people and they occupy their own space and breathe into it their sensitivity and their energy...
