La Main tendue
Delphine Maza
2010 - 53 min - HDV - Couleur - France

Committed to helping social outcasts, a man and three women begin their voluntary mission. Jean-Claude works at the Abbé Pierre Foundation, Claudine is a voluntary medical practitioner for the NGO Médecins du Monde (Doctors of the World), Fabienne feeds the hungry via La Soupe aux Sans-abri (Soup for the Homeless), and Aurélie helps in the Secours Populaire charity shop.
Who are they? Why did they decide to commit themselves to help others, and what are their motivations? What is their daily life like? What satisfaction do they feel and what are their doubts in fulfilling their mission?
We accompany these “heroes” who fight against poverty in the depths of winter in Lorraine.
