Pier-Louis Bougie, François-Xavier Marange and Denis Saint-Pierre are all artists. They share a Montreal studio, but their routine is disrupted when one of them falls ill.
Filmmaker Bruno Baillargeon documents their world affectionately, not only filming their engravings and paintings, but testifying to the three men’s friendship, unique relationship with time, and sense of freedom.
He films their talent and skill, the long creative process and its uncertainties; a peaceful meditation on passing life and its randomness. The filmmaker’s patient, discreet camera beautifully captures a humble world of deep concentration, presenting three touching portraits as one.
