L'An prochain la révolution
Frédéric Goldbronn
2010 - 71 min - Vidéo - Couleur - France

L'An prochain la révolutionrecounts the proletarian hope in Yiddishland during the first half of the twentieth century – a dream which ended in the nightmare of the death camps. The story of Maurice Rajsfus lies at the heart of this tragedy. Following his arrival in France to seek asylum, his parents were arrested on July 16, 1942 by French police and led to Drancy before being assassinated at Auschwitz. How can a human being build himself on such nothingness? Through writing and political commitment, through loyalty to his parents' ideals.
The story of Maurice questions that of the film-maker with one stark difference, the latter knows nothing or almost about his own history which was not transmitted.
