L'Ami américain, l'Amérique contre De Gaulle
Patrick Jeudy
2001 - 56 min - Betacam SP - Couleur et Noir & Blanc - France

Since 1995, the United States of America have given access to classified information that has been kept secret for the past 25 years. Information from the State Department, the Pentagon, the CIA, the Atomic Energy Commission and personal documents belonging to various Presidents as well as important politicians.
These documents, that have been accessed by Vincent Jauvert (journalist for French weekly "Nouvel Observateur"), shed a new light on the bitter struggle that opposes the US administration and General De Gaulle.
These documents have been compared, on the French side, with archives from the Quai d’Orsay – the French Foreign Ministry -, from the depth of the Second Bureau and with army archives on French nuclear testing.
