1962 : they where three inseparable girl-friends at the Brazza Savorgnan High School in Algeria : Saliha the Kabyle, Rachel the Algerian Jewess and Sarah the Berber Jewess.
In the summer of 1993, thirty years after the War of Independance in Algeria, Sarah went looking for her two old friends. She knew one had gone to live in Israel and believed that other one was still in Algeria .Sarah has been living in France for the pas 30 yeas. They had never thought of being any different, but the hazards of war had led them to three different countries and maybe three different lifestyles.
This film does not pretend to propose any theory, it is simply an impressionist acknowledgement of the unpredictable human consequences of war.
