Elegiac documentary about Krzystopór Castle in Ujazd. Built in 1627-1644 by Krzysztof Ossolinski, it was never completely finished: it was occupied until 1770, when it was destroyed by the Russian army during the military actions against the Bar Confederation army. Around the history of the castle construction and its period of splendor there exist so many legends. Nowadays, the palace has a status of permanent ruins.
The film is a powerful meditation on vanity and historical decline whose ghosts inhabit the ancient ruins. Modern times are ridiculous compared to the magnificence of the destroyed fortress.
