Jean Cocteau, je reste avec vous
Arnaud Xainte
2013 - 52 min - Couleur - France

This biography of Jean Cocteau (1889-1963), 50 years after his death, explores his artistic legacy and his huge influence on contemporary film and visual arts. A friend of Proust, Coco Chanel, Stravinsky and Picasso, ingenious jack of all trades - moving from the stage to the big screen, drawing to sculpture and comic strips to literature with equal ease - Cocteau remained devoted to a single form of expression: poetry. His visual and poetic world was a source of inspiration for New Wave filmmakers, among others. In this film, accounts by those who knew him paint a portrait of his unique, multifaceted life.
