Highway
Sergeï Dvortsevoy
1999 - 56 min - 35 mm - Couleur - France, Allemagne, Finlande, Norvège, Royaume-Uni

On the road, in the middle of the arid Kazakhstan steppe, a sign reads "Moscow 2,300 km". Someone has written in "the road to hell".
The bus appears on the horizon. It weaves slowly to avoid the huge holes and rocks in the road. Behind the bus, a kilometer-long cloud of dust. Oppressive heat. In the bus, a family of entertainers. With their six children, they have created a small travelling circus, and they put on their show for truck drivers who stop off in the shacks along the road.
This film is a chronicle of people and places that soon will disappear.
