Flamenco vive !
Philippe Molins
1997 - 52 min - Vidéo - Couleur - France

Art or folklore ? Fusion or crossover ? History or fact ? Flamenco never leaves anyone indifferent.
"Flamenco, fusión" recounts the everyday lives of three considered as part of the "nuevo flamenco" (new flamenco) movement, Diego Carrasco, Enrique Morente, Falo.
These artists give us an opportunity to discover their favorite or inspirational musicians, singers, dancers, producers and aficionados. The group "Ketama" of the Habichuela family, number one family among the gypsies, the dancers Antonio Canales and Belem Maya, Lole the cantaora.
Archive material provides an insight into the early Greats of flamenco who inspired them : Maïrena, Camarón de la Isla, Paco de Lucía, El Güito or Carmen Linares to name few of them.
The music is the bridge, the link between the characters who tell us and show us how they crossed the frontiers of flamenco. Listening to music tunes with them helps us to understand the evolution of flamenco.
