In a village in the Hungarian countryside, the community goes about its business while awaiting the arrival of a theatre company who will play Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. In this strange and undefinable encounter between two distant universes, this film is perhaps the only one in Sára's tragic cinematography that makes us sense the utopia of a contact between modernity and tradition, town and country. At the borderline between enchantment and a description of daily life, it is similar in that way to other Hungarian films of the period (particularly those of Zoltán Huszárik). A film of extreme sensitivity, almost Pasolinian.
