In a hut on the side of a village surronded by a chain of the Altai Mountains, there lives a married couple totally rejected by the rest of the comnunity. The family lives in penury and is hardly able to make the ends meet. Once an enormous tragedy took place there and now everyone, both parents and their children, are paying for the sin of the past.
