Pictures of a disappearing world: a portrait of the traditional circus “Szapito”. This very poetic film presents the last performance of some old circus artists, finishing their career, who decide to test their skills once again when their lives are almost over. The film is a philosophical meditation about life transience and the importance of sincere human relations and strong community. The cinematographers Krzysztof Ptak and Wit Dąbal film the movement of the hands, the touching clumsiness of the old acrobats and clowns and the faces full of tears or smiles, giving to the performances a magical atmosphere.
