A film on the avant-garde musician Fred Frith, born in England in 1949, a man always looking for new sounds, music that blurs boundaries and classifications. From 1988 to 1990, the directors followed him from rehearsals to shows and from interviews to moments of solitude. The film echoes the improvised form of Fred Frith’s music. Its directors describe it as a “ninety-minute celluloid improvisation”.
