Seta, Midou, Hocine, Mohamed, Sofian, Brian, all aged between sixteen and twenty-two, have abandoned school or been expelled. They are taking lessons in an unusual class in the Paris suburb of Bondy in order to reintegrate a standard sixth form class. They call themselves “social cases”; above all, they are young adults with complicated backgrounds, who speak and dream about their life in their own particular ways.
