A crew of workers is digging the tunnels of Prague's future metro. With her hand-held camera, Drahomíra Vihanová follows these men at work underground then in their daily lives. Distancing herself from the classical codes and methods of socialist documentary which tended to extoll the heroic values of workers' efforts, she simply films ordinary people, relates their problems, their hopes and transmits the power and energy generated by this community.
