The video is an outstanding document, as it is the direct testimony of one of the few survivors of the 1915 massacre of Armenians in eastern Turkey. That a person more than seventy years old went back to see his lost land, alone and on foot, is extraordinary. […] My father never spoke of the massacre. He never wanted to speak of it. […] The video is not an interview. It is a video-reading. My father does not accept questions. He holds history and his emotions at bay. […] The diary begins in 1976. In that year my father returned to his birthplace, Khodorciur.
