For generations, the sons have run the family farm. But Willem retires without successor. As a last tribute “to his father who gave him his love of the land, and to his mother from whom he received his love for cinema”, Jos, the son, filmed their last days of work in 1992, his father's gestures, the final harvest, the sale of the livestock, the thousand details of daily life, the silences so eloquent between two conversations on past or future weather... A melancholic adieu to the flat land and a way of life disappearing from the Netherlands as it is from the rest of Europe.
