A moving portrait of František Kříž who each day descends the steep slopes of the Eagle Mountains carrying on his horse a load of logs, ceaselessly, whatever the weather. Last descendant of a family which has transmitted the activity from generation to generation, František risks losing his job, threatened by mechanization. An intimate and melancholy documentary on the harshness of a working life, the beauty of the landscape and the original tie that binds men, nature and animals.
