It is the bittersweet story of two lovers—the filmmaker's parents—who have completely grown apart. They live in a world of their own, a huge villa, surrounded by barbed wire, on a country estate near Mexico City. Diego's father will soon turn eighty and wants to go parachuting. His mother is lonely, tired and angry. The underlying resentment grows ever more tangible.
