Mirages: the five first days of a convoy going from Agadez to Djanet, from Niger to Algeria. An objective journey towards clandestinity, a subjective journey towards the progressive individualisation of these men bound for clandestinity and perhaps an anonymous death. Lacking a shooting authorisation, the film stops at the Lybian border, but with some unforgettable shots: a series of individual portraits of migrants who sometimes show to the camera their identity papers or, with even greater emotional impact due to the abolition of all distance, their internet addresses.
