Falacha is the captain of a fishing boat at Nazaré and loses a part of his crew when the boat sinks. Among them is Aunt Aurélia’s husband who holds Falacha and his family responsible for the drama. A few years later, Maria, Falacha’s daughter, falls in love with Manuel, Aunt Aurélia’s son. Two young people who love each other even though born of fishing families who have become enemies.
