In the Roya valley, in the south of France on the border with Italy, Cédric Herrou, a farmer, grows olive trees. The day he crossed some refugees on the road, he decided, with other inhabitants of the valley, to welcome them. To offer them shelter and help them submit their request for asylum. But in acting this way, he was considered to be breaking the law… Michel Toesca, a long-time friend of Cédric also living in the Roya valley, filmed him over a period of three years.
