Beyond the wider History of Italian Cinema and its oft-predicted death, there is another history, that of an invisible cinema of resistance: a cinema that no storm can whither because it will always return, free and spontaneous, like the weeds that grow along roadsides. From the ruins of the Circo Massimo in Rome, via the city's forgotten suburbs to the ruins of Pozzuoli, this film relates the encounter with a cinema of survival, that of Beppe Gaudino and Isabella Sandri.
