In contemporary Naples, the story of Don Carlo Gesualdo who, in a fit of jealousy, killed his wife Maria d'Avalos and her lover, the Prince Fabrizio Carafa. Overcome with regret, he took refuge in music and became the greatest composer of madrigals of the sixteenth century.
