Rabo de Peixe, a village in the Azores where artisanal fishing has been the main economic activity for a long time, is in trouble. Pedro, a young skipper, works hard to make ends meet. He also has to face the perils inherent to the lives of those who work at sea. Filmed over a year between 1999 and 2001, the film shows how he and his crew fight to remain free.
