"The fire's share is what you sacrifice to save the essential. Asbestos protected us from almost everything, at the lowest price and with a maximum profit. That was what was essential. The fire's share is the echo of my father's voice, that of a teacher who died of mesothelioma, a cancer caused by asbestos, a worker's cancer. The fire's share is the worry that has been with me since his death and that I have decided to confront today, in contaminated landscapes, with those who have the same feeling, to transform together fear into action."
