The Estate Inside is the director’s testimony on his youth in the housing estate Les Coutures, in Limoges, France. This confession weaves together joy and ache. His memories emerge and plunge us into the working class past from which he comes, whereas his life today lies elsewhere. A complex inheritance lived as a personal class struggle.
