Two boys are out, idly wandering about a swamp-infested region. They are pretending they are hunting, but have no rifles. They go deeper into a forest and lose sight of one another, until one of the boys finds the other again screaming for help, being pulled under in the quicksands. He runs in search of help and brings back a team of men to pull his friend out of the mire. They find the victim covered in mud, with only his head showing, and form a human chain to drag him out.
