Eugenio Carmi, Kurt Blum
1960 - Italie - Couleur - 10'
Made by an Italian painter, Eugenio Carmi, and a Swiss photographer, Kurt Blum, this documentary free from any informative mission translates in sumptuous images the impressions and vibrations felt by the artists in two giant industrial complexes—a steel mill in Genoa and the Fiat plant in Turin. The soundtrack mixes a Prokofiev piano piece and audio recorded beside the machines to provide a counterpoint.
