"Starting with some papers collected in two boxes, I followed in the footsteps of my grandparents, whom I didn't know. Their traces, found in police reports and intelligence files, reveal a story that has remained in the shadow of the family and of collective memory: from 1939 to 1945, a large number of French and foreign Jewish refugees arrive in Limoges. A whole world is organized during wartime, a community of destiny sets itself up, tied together by solidarity, mutual aid and resistance. It is my duty to link the scattered fragments of this story just before it sinks into oblivion."
